oPNU Approval Process in Accordance with NC RfG

The NC RfG compliance process includes the following steps:

• Schedule the testing date with the DSO dispatcher
• Install the power quality analyzer at the point of connection (transformer substation or HV/MV substation)
• Perform power quality measurements (the measurement period depends on the DSO’s requirements and solar irradiance conditions)
• Perform background measurements (with the generation source disconnected)
• Carry out compliance tests, including:
  • Determining the generation source characteristics as a function of solar irradiance (for PV installations)
  • Generation source start-up tests
  • Generation source shutdown tests
  • Assessment of the power plant’s impact on power quality
  • Verification of voltage (U) and reactive power (Q) control functions, active power limitation, and voltage regulation response time
  • Verification of automatic disconnection during islanded operation
• Prepare the NC RfG measurement and compliance test report and submit it to the DSO for review
• Provide additional information and respond to the DSO’s comments, if required
• Obtain DSO approval of the compliance report
• Prepare the PGMD application
• Submit the PGMD application together with the approved compliance report
• Obtain the final operational authorization for the generating installation
• Obtain an amendment to the Distribution Agreement, if required due to circumstances beyond the applicant’s control
